International forum on strengthening social work to ensure wellbeing of children and families in Uzbekistan

On 21-22 November 2019, representatives of the Association of SOS Children’s Villages of Uzbekistan participated in the International Forum on “strengthening social work to ensure wellbeing of children and families in Uzbekistan”.

This international event was organized by the Republican center for social adaptation of children together with the Republican social children's fund "Sen Yolg'iz Emassan", Ministry of public education, Scientific and practical research center "Oila", Ministry of health, Ministry of higher and secondary special education with the support of the UNICEF office in Uzbekistan, in the framework of 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Deputies and senators of the parliament, domestic and foreign experts, as well as representatives of ministries and civil society institutions participated in the forum to discuss priority areas of the country's development in the field of social protection.

During plenary and group sessions, through active debate and recommendations, the representatives of the association contributed to formation of the final document for submission to the government of Uzbekistan.

On 21-22 November 2019, representatives of the Association of SOS Children’s Villages of Uzbekistan participated in the International Forum on “strengthening social work to ensure wellbeing of children and families in Uzbekistan”.
