Main role and mission

Tasks and Responsibilities

• She/he is innovative and creative in raising funds according to the business plan and targets, based on SOS CV best practices, competitor’s activities, research, tests and continuous evaluation of fundraising opportunities, methods and results.
• The aim is to have a strategic mix of fundraising activities that start with Leadership Giving, Corporate Fundraising and are followed-up by preparing the Member Association for establishing Individual Giving.
• She / he develops, implements and updates the national Corporate Fundraising Strategy.
• She / he establishes cooperation with companies, major donors and private foundations to gain fundraising income and maintains long-term partnerships with corporate donors.
• She / he leads the project for starting Individual Giving in the role of project manager; a close cooperation with the National Director, Finance Manager, Chief Accountant, ICT and third parties (e.g. web development agency, direct sales agency, payment providers & banks) is required.
• To continuously evaluate and refine individual giving fundraising programs, ensuring they remain relevant, effective, and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
• To fundraise from big corporate multinational / local enterprises and/or foundations by partnership negotiations or by submitting grant applications - acting also as a role model in Corporate Fundraising for CFR team colleagues.
• The Fundraising Development Officer is responsible for fulfilling the business plan and for reaching the set and agreed targets.
• She/he plans, monitors, analyses and evaluates each fundraising activity according to the planning and reporting procedure and against defined and agreed KPIs/ Controlling Figures. This activity requires a close cooperation with the National Director and Finance Manager.
• She/he has to adhere to all official manuals, guidelines, minutes of Fund Development & Communication Workshops and standards issued by SOS Children’s Villages or the Fund Development & Communications Department as well as to the legal requirements in the country.

Requirements

• A proven track record of at least 3-5 years in market development, fundraising, marketing or sales - depending on the educational background
• Expertise in Direct Marketing channels and/or Key Account Management
• Expertise and experience in project management
• University degree in business administration, marketing or fundraising
• Can identify with the vision, mission and values of SOS Children’s Villages
• Fundraising approach - optimistic person; creative and result oriented; attitude of never-give-up and try-again; passion for market development.
• Good command of English, Russian and Uzbek;

Face-to-face Fundraising specialist

Location: Tashkent

SOS Children’s Villages of Uzbekistan is an affiliated member Association of international non-governmental organisation (www.sos-childrensvillages.org). The main mission is to support children left without parental care or at risk of losing parental care through advocating for child rights and implementing relevant programs and projects. The Association works in Tashkent, Samarkand and Khorezm regions (www.sos-kd.uz ).

Main role and mission

The F2F Fundraising specialist is responsible for driving fundraising activities in their country to achieve financial self-sufficiency for the Member Association, implementing the F2F channel as part of the business plan, and positioning SOS Children’s Villages as a strong partner among supporters, while adhering to established guidelines and procedures.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Experience in planning, executing and analysing acquisition campaigns via face to face fundraising or direct sales channels and tools;
• Knowledge of direct fundraising/sales techniques and principles, including methods of tracking and monitoring results, performance, budget;
• Experienced in F2F Fundraising/direct Sales recruitment and location scouting;
• Experienced in database management (segmentation, CRM);
• Self-motivated, determined, innovative, pro-active and with a “can do” mentality, i.e. ability to identify and take advantage of fundraising opportunities;
• Strong leadership and coaching skills and the ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve results;
• Strong negotiating skills and ability to work in coordination with a larger team (fundraising and communication team, project implementation team);
• A strong result-orientation combined with a proven competence in strategic planning, analysis and evaluation;

Requirements

Digital Fundraising Specialist

The mission of this position is to drive successful online fundraising campaigns through strategic planning, digital engagement, and data-driven optimization, ensuring the achievement of revenue goals and impactful donor relationships.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Campaign Management: Develop creative ad concepts, initiate campaigns, and integrate various online channels for effective fundraising. Emphasize result-oriented strategies, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Web Project Oversight: Lead website projects such as launches or enhancements, from planning and developer briefings to testing and approval.
• Analysis & Optimization: Implement and analyze tools like Google Analytics, derive insights, and take action to enhance performance.
• SEO & Usability: Focus on SEO strategies and web usability best practices for fundraising websites to improve visibility and user experience.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure alignment between online and offline marketing efforts, maintaining a cohesive SOS branding identity across all platforms.
• Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor websites, online campaigns, and social media initiatives to stay informed and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of experience in online marketing, sales, or fundraising, with a proven ability to independently manage campaigns focused on achieving a 3:1 ROI;
• Good command of English, Russian and Uzbek;\
• Proficiency in Digital Content Editing
• Understanding of Web Usability and UX
• Training in Adobe Photoshop & Premiere
