Chess Tournament

 From May 19 to 24, qualification tournament for the assignment of chess ranks took place in the premises of “Poytakht” business center in the chess room of Tashkent branch of the Chess Federation. Three of our foster children- Nikolaenko Trofim, Ivanyuk Alexander and Merkulov Danil have participated in this tournament. In total, 41 athletes took part in the tournament. The competition has been held according to the Swiss system which is played in 7 rounds. Nikolaenko Trofim took the 1st place in the tournament. He defended the honor of the SOS Children's Villages Chess Club with dignity. He was assigned the third adult’s chess rank thus receiving the right to participate in the next month’s tournament for the assignment of the 2nd rank.
