Today, children of the SOS Children's Villages, Tashkent have visited the Tashkent Museum of Geology, where they learned a lot about the Earth’s structure and properties of rocks. They also learned what minerals their native land is rich in. Beside, children were told how gold, silver and other minerals are mined and what features are associated with mining process. The skeleton of a dinosaur exhibited in the paleontological department was of particular interest to children when they got to know that the remains of the dinosaur were found near Tashkent. In general, children learned a lot of new and informative things from the history of the planet, their native land and gained new knowledge of such an interesting science as geology.
